2025 Love Our Earth Festival Menlo Park

The spirit of Earth Day was alive and thriving at the 2025 Love Our Earth Festival on Saturday, April 26. BEE, one of many participating environmental organizations, joined families, advocates, and local leaders in a celebration of our planet and a shared commitment to sustainability.

BEE reporters spoke with several attendees to hear their thoughts on protecting the Earth and raising awareness about environmental conservation. Rima, a Menlo Park resident, attended with her 7-year-old daughter. The pair enthusiastically participated in the interactive lemon battery experiment and successfully answered all five follow-up questions. “We learned a lot,” Rima shared. “We plan to protect nature by keeping our local hiking trails clean and encouraging others to do the same.”

The festival also featured an interview with the Mayor of Menlo Park, Drew Combs, who spoke about the city’s dedication to improving environmental conditions. When asked how his office plans to take action, he emphasized: “We will take every step necessary to both protect the environment and increase public awareness.”

The Love Our Earth Festival offered a wide range of educational booths, green technology demonstrations, and fun activities for all ages—showcasing how small actions can make a big impact.

As Earth Day continues to inspire communities across the globe, Menlo Park’s celebration serves as a strong reminder of the importance of local action in the global effort to safeguard our planet.
